TRANSFORMING MENTAL HEALTH THROUGH CREATIVITY, CONNECTION
AND CARE
Intergenerational Music Making (IMM) delivers innovative, evidence-based creative health programmes that improve mental wellbeing across all ages and communities. Our Creative Minds approach combines clinical music therapy with community creativity, bridging NHS pathways and grassroots participation to reach people experiencing anxiety, depression, isolation, trauma and multiple disadvantage. Working in partnership with NHS trusts and foundations, the VCSE, mental health teams, charities and community groups we provide accessible, trauma-informed and person-centred support that complements existing clinical care.
-
Clinical Music Therapy: HCPC-registered therapists provide individual and group sessions addressing anxiety, low mood, trauma and emotional regulation.
-
Creative Wellbeing Labs: Community-based creative sessions supporting prevention, resilience and social connection.
-
Intergenerational Mental Health Projects: Connecting young people, adults and older residents through shared creative experiences to combat loneliness and build empathy.
-
Training & Workforce Development: Equipping health, social care and community professionals with creative tools for wellbeing and mental health engagement.

WHAT WE DO

WHERE OUR WORK ALIGNS
Our work aligns with the NHS Long Term Plan, Health & Wellbeing Strategies and Prevention and Early Intervention Frameworks.
Creative practice unlocks new ways of expressing emotion, building resilience, and restoring confidence.
Our programmes reach those who might not otherwise engage with mental health support, offering non-stigmatising, relational and measurable pathways to wellbeing.
The impact from our NHS-funded pilots shows a significant improvement in participants’ mental wellbeing, including lower levels of anxiety and depression, a reduction in loneliness and isolation and increased confidence, communication and sense of belonging.
These results demonstrate how creative, intergenerational approaches can make a measurable difference to people’s mental health and community connection.
