ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Our Environment strand, ‘Sounds of Sustainability’ and ‘Sing and Grow’ invites participants to explore ecological and place-based themes through music and creatvity. Through soundwalks, gardening, songwriting and art, communities connect with their local environment and tell stories of place and change. This branch encourages awareness, stewardship and creative agency, using ecology as both subject and collaborator in creative practice.
Music deepens our connection to the world around us. Through soundscapes, rhythm, and storytelling, we inspire environmental awareness and climate action.

This programme aligns with green social prescribing models, linking creativity with ecological wellbeing. Join us in making music for a healthier planet.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Our intergenerational project Sing & Grow, sponsored by Comic Relief, brought together people of different ages through the power of music and gardening.
The project in Milton Keynes was a huge success and was recently featured on Red Nose Day, showcasing the positive impact of intergenerational connections on mental health and well-being, highlighting the story of Betty who lives at the care home with Alzheimers.
SING & GROW
The video captures the essence of our project as participants of all ages come together to make music, share their experiences and create lasting bonds.
